From whatever angle you look at the Ducati 916 ... it remains thé icon of bikes ....
I had to test this particular 916 from 1995 and i must admit i was amazed by the riding experience, this is 17 years old ...
IMO the owner made some minor optical adjustments that make it look a bit silly, a bog standard 916 with a 'monoposto' seat should be the way to go !
Can you imagine this design is nearly 20 years old ?
Still looks as extreme as when it was when at it's introduction back in 1994.
A matching watch to ride this beast .... er ... well it's fast but not that fast ...

Thanks for sharing, Bim. Does the watch exhibit weird behaviour when you ride? I stopped wearing a mech watch anymore when I ride; even if no timing problems I worry about loose screws. Ride safe. TM

..some glassfibre packing and it's not hard to have a standard exhaust shell with some extra breathing :-)

it shows how well its held up against other designs as its changed very little all the way through until the 1098. its only now with a frangipani that the design changes, for the worst. i'd be a bit worried that it stalls mid corner, is that at town centr...

Hi G, The Panigale looks weird on pictures BUT looks the business in the flesh, i really like the design. The only ugly hypersport ducatis were the 749-999 models, they looked fabulous from aside but ugly from the back and the front. Offcourse the 748-916...

...running rough? Ick. That'll be lots of fun with a Ohm meter chasing resistance values all over the bike...and even more fun trying to get those readings when it's moving :-)
