Titanium crushes aluminium - some early experiences with my first IWC

Next to watches a certain soft drink tends to be a constant companion of my days, too smile As for the hierarchy, the titanium IWC Ref. 3520 clearly establishes its rightful primacy here biggrin Just a spontaneous idea...

I have not worn the IWC much since getting it but early experiences are very positive. The material makes it feather light and it is the proverbial watch that molds so well to your wrist that you hardly notice wearing it. The thick bezel makes it appear slightly smaller than its 36mm but the lugs (for lack of a more correct expression) ensure it does not look like a toy. The mechanism appears strong as can be expected of a solid ETA, with both winding and setting being a breeze. Pleasant winding feeling, too. And a nicely aged tritium on both the hands and the hour markers.

Here in its 50 shades of grey glory wink

And now for some mixed metaphors. A long time ago I made a handful of journeys in an IWC sponsored Ju-52 and I just recently discovered the book that came with it. Would have fit an IWC Pilot much better as a background but it at least maintains the aluminium / titanium mix - between watch and plane in this case wink
