To all, regarding Collectors Market etiquette . . .
. . . please read.
It's come to my attention that public conversations have developed on Collectors Marketplace between community members critically discussing the offering between themselves and not with the seller.
Critical assessments of a listing are appropriate when legitimacy is in question; we have been alerted on several occasions by alert community members of suspicious sellers.
However, critical assessments of a listing by an established community member in good standing should not be discussed on the boards, just as one would not critically discuss a real estate transaction at a cocktail party where the seller is present. It's not good form. If there are concerns, bring them up with the seller or a moderator in private.
As a side note, asking prices on CM do not necessarily have to correlate with 'the market'. A seller may have reasons of his own when establishing price. It is up to the buyer to decide whether he wants to pay it.

Thanks,
Art
