Traditionnelle tourbillon Japan Special Edition (6000T-000P-B974)
I wanted to share a wristshot of my Traditionnelle tourbillon that was made for the 25th anniversary of The Hour Glass in Ginza in fall of 2021. I think this release may have been overlooked by many as I haven't seen much information published outside of the press release on Vacheron's site - https://presslounge.vacheron-constantin.com/traditionnelle-tourbillon-japan-special-edition/
There were two versions produced, the 6000T-000P-B973 with a rose-engine guilloche dial and the 6000T-000P-B974 with a straight-line guilloche dial. Both were in a platinum case and shared the same shade of blue on the dial. They were numbered X / 6 pieces, but I was told that only 5 pieces of each were produced with unlucky #4 being skipped.
I've had mine for a little over a year at this point and it is definitely a favorite in my collection. The combination of a beautiful guilloche dial, peripheral rotor automatic, and a tourbillon came together to make a very compelling timepiece. The straight-line dial was my preference of the two, but the rose engine variant was very nice as well - if it was the only choice I think I would've still decided to make the purchase.
