Trying to learn more about my new watch
Hi everyone,
I just recently picked this Mille Miglia up and I'm trying to learn more about its history. I can't seem to find much information online regarding these watches and their variations, so I turn to you scholars for assistance.
As far as my limited research has gotten, I believe it's from the year 2000 - denoted by the number 2000 on the 3 o'clock subdial. I also believe it's the first certified chronometer of the series (I could be wrong). What I'm a little confused about is the case back: there's a number on the sapphire crystal that is absent in other Ref. 8407 that I've seen. Is this a limited edition? Or just a numbered edition?

Thank you so much for that graphic - exactly what I was looking for!! The watch did come with the OEM rubber strap but it's much too long for me on my 6.2" wrist, even on the smallest hole. I would venture a guess that Chopard would have shorter straps av...
They do have a variety of lengths…
Fortunately for me I live near a Chopard service center and they can source whatever I need quickly and cost effectively. Let me know if you need help getting one!

I had this exact watch a white back. It’s wonderful.
My model had a rubber strap that looked like tire treads. I still have the cufflinks that matched the strap. Enjoy. It’s a fun one to wear.
