If I am not hijacking your Thread, I can related an old story. Years ago,I was at a UN dinner.....
(the late) Rolf was wearing the first MIH prototype. He also showed us a Sonata movement and the dial/hands. When I talked to him about the softness of the alarm and the unappealing dial and hands, he politely suggested I buy something else.

The first iteration had a solid back and the chimes were too muffled. They used an "amplifier" to magnify the sound but it was not practical. The Cathedral is significantly better. It will waken me from sleep and will truly remind me of an appointment whe...

So.....have you timed the duration of the alarm? Curious to know how long yours chimes for. ...
