The sauterne paired well with the foie gras and as post lunch dessert...one of my favourite wines from a hot vintage,but still fresh and perfumed.
The red went well with the chinese cuisine ,spice and all, with its medium bodied combination of dark fruit,cedar notes and hints of mint,with years to go
Just enough for four of us!
