Watching Perpetually PuristS 2008 - The Global Event
Dear forumners,
We are pleased to announce the Event of the Year - the Mother of All Vigils - Over Leap Day - Friday 29th Feb 2008:
Watching Perpetually PuristS 2008
On 3 continents, PuristS will be watching their perpetual calendar watches to mark Leap Day. Wine will be drunk, photos taken and much merriment expected.
The entry criteria are: Registered PuristS/PuristPro members, Posting Participation on PuristS website family, Preferably bringing a perpetual calendar watch....er....to watch.
The current definite cities are Los Angeles, Singapore and Hong Kong. The venues will not be posted publically for security reasons. We are trying to bring USA-East and EU into the game but that depends on response and finding organisers. We hope to add to cities as more PuristS respond.
Paris is on the shortlist but someone said Parisiennes leave town on a Friday night! Where do they all go? 
Also for security, please apply by e-mail or PM with the title: WPP2008 <City>, inserting the city of your choice (LA/SG/HK). Include your:
- posting ID (PuristS name) real name e-mail address (If using PM, insert spaces in your address to avoid deletion by our software) mobile telephone number (for location notification)
- one perpetual calendar model that you are bringing (you can bring more of course but no need to list them all)
The organising moderators for each city are listed below. As local conditons and sponsorship may vary, your local moderator will provide details of costs, timings etc.
As an example, Singapore vigil will be from 22:00 on 29 Feb to 02:00 on 1 March (4 hours). Why? Because not ALL perpetual calendars are instantaneous...poor things!
What about those that have NO perpetual calendars? We estimate that the moon phase will be in mid-cycle, so maybe a moonphase watch?........Any one can apply to watch the OTHER watchers!
The moderators reserve the right to limit entry and select guest list for security and safety reasons and of course, preference will be given to those bringing perpetual calendars
