Went for this one instead of the green Willard..

I tried the green Willard a few weeks ago and got disappointed with the shape. I found it too small and the profile a bit popeye-ish versus the more rounded shape of the 6105 and it’s reissue, the sla 033. As one enthusiast observed, the green Willard seemed to be a cross between the 6015/sla 033 and the turtle.

And so having been let down by the gw as I really liked the green, mindless surfing led me to the green king turtle. The “grenade” dial and the army green color drew me in. Though not a big fan of the ceramic bezel and cyclops, I got it anyway. The Grayish green silicon strap is the bomb in terms of comfort and fit. Hard to fault for half the price of the gw and the more faithful case shape to the 6309.

One thing that might annoy you with the king turtle is what I perceive to be a misaligned cyclops. So check that out just in case.

I’m still hoping that they would come up with a green Willard that’s true to its name in terms of case shape.
