I've been asking my self this question. Should I buy another GP. I have been visiting my favorite AD almost every month and my good friend at the AD showed me the GP F40 LE, saw the USA98 and Evomoon on this site, was told about a new version of 1966 and the new vintage 1945 with the new 4500 movement. Last year before making my final purchase of the GP wwtc USA-76 I was contemplating between JLC 8 day, Port FA Jones, Port 7 day, Richard Lange and JLC compressor memovox. The wwtc was the last piece so, I grab it.
I am a great fan of GP, thus far I have bought 2 GP BMWORACLE LE the Seahawk II USA-71 and the wwtc USA-76. I also have a Breitling B-2 which is a great tool watch I wear it almost everyday and rotate with Sea Hawk USA-71. The wwtc doesnt get a lot of wrist time as it is the most expensive watch I have purchase thus far. The quality and finishing of the GP is top notch as comparable to PP,AP,Breguet, VC and Lange.
My friend told me that JLC and IWC is not a true manufacture as they outsource almost all of their parts. Being a part of Richemont group they share parts to get the economic of scale to lower the production cost. Every time JLC modify their movement JLC patent s it as a new movement is this true?
I m seriously thinking about my next purchase its either JLC 8 day, Port FA Jones, Port 7 day, Richard Lange, GP USA98, GP Evomoon, GP 1966 watch and JLC compressor memovox. Richard Lange is out of my league. Will visit my favorite AD soon,..just to have a feel all the watch I mention and wait for the new model to arrive.
What do you think?
