Heyall,
as i was gazing down once more on my right wrist to
catch a long glimpse of my close to 6 month old EWC (Rossi edition), i
thought i might share with you all what makes this watch special to me
and why 6 months in, i still cant even imagine selling it for something
else.
- case shape: i love it. The lugs have this flow about them that is just so damn sexy.
- big and yet: its a 46.5mm beast and it shows. But it doesnt feel as
big as a panerai or a big pilot. Its still somewhat civilized.
-
busy and yet: theres a lot on the dial. Date, world time, chrono,
seconds disc... but telling the time is an easy task. I never have to
look at it twice. Unless its because i was looking more at the watch
than the time, of course
- chrono dials: i like how they
managed to put all the hour markers and 15 minute markers without
making it feel crammed. How many watches out there you can look at and
immediately tell how many minutes have gone by ?
- chrono
operation: the smoothest yet crispiest ive ever owned. The second hand
doesnt lunge, skip or hesitate. I can never go back to AP or Zenith
(those are the ones that come to mind and that ive owned with this kind
of wacky operation)
- quick strap system: nuff said
- value
for money: seriously, where can you get a manufacture movement, fully
integrated chrono with column wheel and verticul clutch at this kind of
price ??? JLC should sell this at least twice the retail price...
- the rose gold mixed with titanium and rubber. DROOOOOLLLL !!!
- the compliments: ive owned Hublot Big Bang, AP, Zenith,Omega,IWC and
Panerai. The comments on this EWC keep coming and coming. Then again, i
always make it a point to have my wrist bare of any clothes that would
otherwise compromise watch gazing.
I used to love my EWC. I sold it and went astray. Now i REALLY love my EWC and have mucho respect for JLC.
Next time: why i love my AMVOX2
Cheers
Xav
