Blancpain 1735, VC Tour de l'?le, IWC Il Destriero Scafussia, AP Grande Complication Jules Audemars, ...
All those masterpieces have tourbillon, perpetual calendar, minute repeator, a few other functions AND a CHRONOGRAPH and if possible a SPLIT SECOND.
Patek's masterpieces like 5002, 5074, 5013, 5016, give you all the complications you can dream of but NOT a chronograph.
Imo the most complicated watches are incomplete without a chronograph.
And this is imo a big lack in the worlds most prestigious brand
Why ? I think they only want to use a 100% inhouse movement for the most complicated watches
Problem ? They need to start from a Nouvelle L?mania if they want to add a chrono function.
Solution ? Simple, after the 5960 'automatic chrono' and the 5959 'seriously overpriced single button splitsecond chrono' they can make their own manual chrono.
And in that case we have a successor for the movement they use in the 5070, 5970, 5004
And at last they are a 100% independent manufacture.
OK, when can we expect that new movement or am I dreaming ...
