Couldn’t agree more. For me, the 5970 in any metal is my favorite reference from the modern era, although P is perhaps my most favored. The other reference that

is either a close second or co-favorite is 5016P (a watch that I can only dream about). Best, Patekova PS - many, many thanks for all your wonderful posts. Over 370,000! !!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely incredible!!!!!!!!

Patek Philippe's "complicated" retrograde perpetual calendars

As a complement to my post from yesterday concerning the "simple" retrograde perpetual calendars , here are the "complicated" ones, meaning the ones including a minute repeater complication and, for some of them, also a tourbillon. I have also dedicated a

Patek Philippe's retrograde perpetual calendars

Note that this thread includes only the "simple" retrograde perpetual calendars, meaning those with no other complications. Therefore, the references with a minute repeater and a tourbillon (5013, 5016, 5213, 5216, 5217, 5316) are deliberately lefts aside

Great post! I especially love the 2499P and 3974P and a huge congratulations on owning one of your dream pieces the salmon 5196P, an exceptionally

beautiful and classic watch! Here are my top 5 all time dream watches, which I will only own in beautiful dreams: They are in order of my preference- - 2499 RG first series pulsations dial (probably unique piece); platinum Breguet 2497, 2523 WT, 1526 stee

I certainly understand why you like the 5016 so much.

What a watch, and with a Tourbillon on top of all the rest. But aesthetically, at least on photos, I still find the 5074 very attractive. Matter of personal taste of course. Thanks for looking and for the kind words.

Yes- Thomas I do own a 5016P

Though I don’t often wear it, it is truly amazing and like you said true horological marvel! I feel very lucky and blessed to have been given an opportunity to purchase. It wears so nice at 36mm as my wrists are small. I’ll try and send you more pics 😊 50

Thanks Shun for all your comments and reflections. As I recall in Patek’s description of the dial the gold markers were described as pink or rose.

They do look to me more yellow than purely rose or pink. Maybe a combination? Of the standard retrogrades, 5050/5059/5159 and 5496 my clear favorite is 5496. My all time favorite retrograde is 5016 but that is a MUCH more expensive watch. Also I love 5160
