will the hesalite speedie be discontinued?
I’ve heard rumors that omega will discontinue the current hesalite speedmaster professional, and put the 3861 movement in to-be-offered sapphire sandwich model, albeit at a higher price point.
Anybody else hear such rumblings?
And another minor question: is this hesalite model the only one that NASA flight qualified?

As much as I like Speedmaster, Omega needs to make up their mind- There cant be 100 different Moonwatches - 321, 3##1, 3861. Now that they got back..

they'd sever the bloodline to their most treasured heritage if they did. Might "upgrade" the sapphire version, though. Cheers Marc

Who knows. If they do that, what a shame. I have always described the moonwatch as the most affordable luxury sports watch one can buy from a store. That’s how i got mine.
