I was struck by the classic look, very well done.
Of course, we can always apply our watchautism and say "if not for this or that tiny detail..." and the "eaten 6" is a classic dial design from the original model in the Longines archives honored here (as well as in numberless pocketwatch designs). Overall, I think Longines seems to be doing very well recently. What do you think?

And the price makes sense too. What is not to like?
The "eaten 6" doesn't bother me. What does is that butt near the crown
I much prefer vertical numbers because I can't unsee the butt. (Moonphases I like, but not being mooned. Otherwise, this watch is practically perfect as a time-only.)
It's high on my list this year. A cool vintage vibes.
The only question is how many will be too many.
I think the closed back was the right move.
So, not sure why a manual would be better?

Certainly...the spacing is uneven...
...which makes sense given the nature of the '1' and the '2' in the number 12. But it still looks odd.
When I saw the press photo of it on the bracelet I definitely thought “another good one from Longines”.
A fan for sure, despite the issues outlined above (the butt, and the long “1”).
For the price, I kinda like it...
Especially in blue - even if they could use a skilled typographer.

I have a feeling they needed the typographer in the 40s or whenever this comes from.
Love it and love the BoR bracelet…
Have already put my name down at the boutique to go see it when it comes. Plan is to either buy the watch or to order the BoR bracelet to put on my Heritage Tuxedo Chronograph. I believe they are the same lug width (19mm) but different case diameter.
It's a classic bracelet design for a classically styled watch!
Longines seems to be reclaiming it's allure by looking back to when it was a top-notch brand.

I think the bracelet is overpowering the white dial, whereas the black dial and the Chrono have enough going on in the dial to hold their own against the bracelet. Would love to see someone’s “live” pictures, because it may be completely different.
Unfortunately this watch was a bit disappointing live!
The dial was a little flat and the flat glass was accentuated. The bracelet was a bit too shiny for me. I am so disappointed with the bracelet. But that was just for my taste.
Have you seen it live?

Hope it looks nice on the watch. My only concern is the drop from the lugs to the bracelet - more vintage but let’s see how it looks

It’s not the sort of watch I’d stare at slack-jawed while browsing social media, but it sure is easy on the eyes. Love the look, totally.
They’ve been doing things right, dial side. It’s the backside that I think needs a bit of focus simply because Longines is horologically historic..
