Hi all, I have an opportunity to purchase the new Journe Resonance with the 24 hour dial at 9 o’clock. I have read all I can about the movement and how resonance works. The watch has been in production for 18 years and is being discontinued in 2020 with a...  

Do you like black..? It really depend whether you like the 24hr dial or not. If not, just wait till new version kick in and compare the two model and see which one you like. If you like the 2019 version better than the 2020 then you can always try to get ... 

I cannot find a Black label version of the 2019 model and don’t think I would want it...JIm

Bracelet is rare and i think you like bracelet instead of leather

Especially on a bracelet its a stunner imho . So i think you cant go wrong with a new or old model

Yes to the 2019 version. The bracelet is well made, comfortable, and beautiful in a masculine way. Overall: Yes.

There is nothing wrong preferring the new version to the old version. As time goes by, the new version look nicer to me too. Its just how you look at it. At first, i dont really like the look of centigraphe but as time goes by.. it looks better to me. A s... 

There are at least 3 variants of the subdials. Your homework is to identify them.

Firstly, this was never the intended usage for this watch. It was not a two time zone, that was never the point and Journe himself I understand was somewhat adamant about that. And while the maker is obviously entitled to revisit this with this 2019 dial,... 

As the watch was originally supposed to have both dials sync. Personally I like the two time zones but it goes away from it’s original intent...Jim

..you surely will have what is a pretty rare watch in the Resonance line up. I’ve seen some pictures of the black dial and I do think that it’s the most attractive of all.

In fact I only find 9-10 of the Resonance FPJ for sale, non of them on bracelets. I haen’t been able to find pricing on the bracelet only ricing on a strap and I fear it will be a big premium, I will ask the boutique today...Jim

I don’t find one on a bracelet used and the last run of 2019 may have it’s upside. I love the functionality but the the 24 Timezone is a function I use often. Good choices to have...Jim

But if I were going with a 2019 version, I would go with the Black Label as first choice. In your case, since it seems like you are keen on the RG version with bracelet - the only tweak I would do is to switch the dial to WG. I think the contrast will be ...

Dear Jim Apologies for my belated reply. There has already been made a lot of good points, so I can only add very little. My eyes had to get used to the new dial (as is often the case) but I really like it, the more I see it. I have the old symmetric vers...

And I fully concur. In my experience, what will bring it out of sync is usually a small shock. I’m left handed and I was hammering some food out of a tin with my hand. I noticed the seconds hand fell a bit out of sync. However the two balances will slowly... 

It is posts by you and others that drew my attention to the Resonance to begin with! I'll write a review after I have had an opportunity to experience the watch for a couple of months.
