Power Pair - Memoirs from Macau
This past weekend I was in Macau with a fellow Journe collector. On his wrist was the original YG Remontoir and on mine the YG Resonance. Both have very similar dial colors, a gold champagne color. Individually we had been losing at the blackjack tables but once these two watches came together the luck started to flow. Blackjacks, double downs that were always winners, pair bets that paid off, splits followed by more double downs. We could do nothing wrong. The chips kept piling up. After winning each hand each of us with gaze at the dials of our Journes with a respectful smile knowing it was the source of this positive energy and luck. After about 5 hours I noticed my power reserve was running towards the end and the second hand subdials were no longer in synch. At the same time his remontoir started to spin erratically. This was the clear sign to quit while ahead and we did. All I had was a camera phone to capture the moment so apologies for not being very clear.
