but you are right, I would have to collect the RW Smith, possibly sell it if I find the height of the watch too high (which it could very well be at 13 or 13.5mm compared to the Resonance 11mm) and then use the sale proceeds to buy the Resonance. I know there are other alternatives like a Vingt 8 and the the new Rexhep but this Resonance is a bit more special in my opinion compared to the others. With a bit of luck the RW Smith should hold its value!

But this offering is quite something. What for me is most amazing is the movement size is 34.6mm and yet FP Journe can place it in a 40mm case! For me that in itself is a feat as it leaves slight more than 5mm for the case to surround the movement.
The size is amazing, and single mainspring with differential (and the dual remontoirs!)
If I may ask: How would you exchange this with the RWS without the process of first acquiring the RWS and then selling it? You super collectors know things to which mere housecats of horology have no ken.
