the 7254 was GPs first skin diver from around 1957, so quite a bit after the FF. The FF is quite a bit larger and with bezel. I have no idea with the 100 fathoms were really achieved in practice. This watch has no screw-in back and no screw-in crown. Maybe that's a reason why so few survived till these days

100 fathoms is a very great depth for this watch, I'm thinking to Blancpain 50 fathoms from 1953 and its technical characteristics... are they comparable?

Interesting that most here vote a preference for the white dial. I think the black is more common for dive watches and maybe in the metal the preference is different. CC
