Girard-Perregaux 2016 Novelty – The 1966 Dual Time
Friends,
One watch we didn’t discuss much this year is the Girard-Perregaux 1966 Dual Time, a Novelty of this year.
The size of 40 mm and with the red dual time hour hand the watch has a very different look than what we are used to see in the 1966 line.
Good or bad? It is of course dependant of your preference.
Me, I think it gives the watch a very young and fresh look!

Well, the main drawback of this GP is that figures are too gathered close to the center of the dial (may be it can be explained by the size of the GP movement?). If they would have been closer to the bezel, it would have been a more balanced and "breathin...
The placement of the dual time has nothing to do with the movement size....

I would still think it is a very mature watch
Maybe appealing to a YUPI too but certainly a watch for the traveller with style. It is a nice alteration of the 1966 theme so thumb up.
I like the look, but if I would have made the dial...
Based on the same movement, I would have moved the Dual time out on the outside of the date. Best Blomman

I must admit, the 1966 Dual Time
leaves me completely cold. I have handled both the gold and the steel versions and neither is ticking any boxes for me. Not all can be my taste, so great to have other options CC

Dependign on your eyes... All true.
But to see the Dual time is not hard... You still have the indexes to see on what hour the red hand is... Best Blomman
