So I thought it would be interesting for folks to hear the buzzzz of the alarm and also see the transition of the look from the orginal Girard-Perregaux steel bracelet to a leather strap.

Personally, I always think it’s important to get the orginal bracelet for these neo vintage models. In the future, they may no longer be available.
A few days ago I posted about the salmon dial of this reference. I have 4 variants of the ref 4940 as I really like them.
This variant was not easy to find as well. Black dial with Breguet applied numerals in steel. There is only one listed for sale on chrono24 now. When I was searching for it, there was none for over a year. 😮

It’s also a good example of why case diameter really means very little. At 38 mm, this piece is all dial and it wears more like a 40 mm … but that’s in terms of presence. It is still a 38 mm case and the lugs are curved (a signature of GP from this era) so it will even wear well on a 16 cm wrist. I have an 18 cm wrist.
