GP 2004: News in the Vintage45 line (22 pics, several models)

G'day,

here?s an assorted variety of the news in the Vintage45 line by Girard-Perregaux. There are some news, so in order to keep this a somewhat workable size i opted for clickable thumbnail pictures.

And here we go:

Reference 25932

As you see, this is an update of the smallest men?s Vintage45 model aka reference 25930; unlike the predessor, the new version comes with updated dials, date indication and (completely new for that case) a transparent back.
The dials shown include an ivory coloured version as well as two dials with guilloche pattern, similar the dials of the 25960; especially the blue variant is a very catching addition, since the fine brushing does cause a wonderful change of the colour depending on the angle the watch.
This watch is a hommage for many of the lady WIS?s to prefer larger sized models; although it is the classic men?s sized small case, it turned out particularly that case size is the choice of quite some ladies. So this "female touch" may be welcome by many:

The ladies?"mini" Vintage45

This attractive and small sized model hopefully will find a lot of fans among our lady WIS?s; i think it?s a very beautiful watch with a very careful gemsetting that sums up in a great piece for every occasion:

The "moon" Vintage45

This watch is a variation of the smaller ref. 2593 case size; it comes with a very elaborate structured dial and gemsetting. The blue colour appears to change depending on the angle of the watch, which is a very attractive effect in nature.
This watch, like reference 25932, does have a "feminine" touch without being a "girlie" piece at all:

The Kingsize "waffle" dial

This version of the Kingsize case Vintage45 comes with a new dial; it?s an attractive and very unconventional approach, making use of quite some modern design elements without loosing the focus at the origin of this watch line:

The Vintage45 GMT chronograph, Kingsize case

Roger was so nice to point at the details before, so i?ll refrain from further elaborating. Maybe other than this is a very attractive and quite "big piece" in nature, which comes with a very useful additional function that was quite frequently asked for. A great addition to the classic 2-register chronograph reference 25990!

The Vintage line has been further enriched with this magnificent king-sized GMT chronograph.

The case, now a hallmark of the Girard-Perregaux collection, is in pink, yellow or white gold.

The black or silvered opaline dial has four counters: a small seconds at 3, hours at 6, minutes at 9, and a GMT 24-hour time-zone at 12.

The numerals and hands match the colour of the case.

The GMT chronograph comes on a full-skin, hand-stitched crocodile strap with a gold buckle.

The Vintage45 XXL 3-register chronograph

The big case now sports a chronograph; other than ref. 25990, this is a 3-register chronograph. And it?s another beauty!

That?s a short view on some of the news in the Vintage45 line; i think there?s something for every GP enthusiast and some very welcome new details (such as crystal backs for the smaller case variations) are scheduled to be implemented all over the line.

Please excuse my delay so far and hang in there for more news to come; there will be additions to the Richeville line, the Haute Horlogerie line (with some outstanding pieces) and the Collection Lady.
