Servicing my GP...Ouch

The crown on my solid 18K rose gold GP7500 came off and I took it my GP dealer. I should say ex GP dealer. They said they dropped GP because of the very slow repair turnaround and very expensive service charges. They still sent the watch to GP for me. It

7500 chronograph question

Much here on the forum re: the 7000 series, but little on the 7500. What are the differences? My 7500 is also signed "B J No. 296". How many were produced? I love this watch and I am pleased to have made a timepiece purchase rather than a piece of jewelry
