This one is good enough. It has a superb dial and a very elegant case.
The movement is, for me at least, the downside, but something I could live with especially if the dial is.. Blue. Best, my friend. Nicolas

The 1966 Chronograph has been on my wish list for a long time. It never was at the very top as it simply involves a significant monetary commitment, but I'm glad to report that I have found my version of the 1966 Chronograph that suits me personally best....

and I very much like the Ref 49539. GP has iterated this chrono a few times and the version with the manual movement would be nice if 1) they hadn't added 2 mm to the size and 2) the date hadn't been added. So on balance, I think this one is best given si...

I really want to like it and mostly succeed at it, with one exception - the two subdials to my eyes appear a bit too close to the center, giving the watch a slightly squinty look. The vintage ones do not suffer from this. I guess it may be personal but ev...

funny is that the sub-dials are pretty much the same on both the modern and the vintage... But, the modern case is 3 mm bigger, which creates the squinty look. Best Blomman

The distance to the center is the same but the sides are further away ...
The solution would have been a smaller case for the modern watch.
