Girard Perregaux

Hi Scott, happy to help where I can

the Sea Hawk II, 4992 is also my choice as the 40mm fits me much better than the 42mm. I have tried all versions and ended with the 40mm after a lot of "flipping".

You can use the search function of the forum to look for many posts on the Sea Hawk II, including Ref 49920

For your questions:

As far as I know, the 4992 version was available only with white, blue and black dial. The only other variant I'm aware is a 40mm, also Ref 4992 BMW Oracle dial version. The grey sunburst dial I like very much, but I think only existed in the 42mm Sea Hawk.

For straps: the original Rubber strap was only in black. It is 20mm at the lugs and 19mm at the buckle. The lug end is also curved, so I think it will be difficult to find a fitting 3rd party rubber strap that is exactly like that. Another alternative that seems to work well is to put it on a 20mm Nylon NATO strap. Here you can have pretty much any colour you want.

Best,
