Interesting that you mentioned the thinness. I makes a huge difference yeah? Did you try on the 42 mm as well?

I too have the RO 1500 and I too find the laureato 41 mm more comfortable. Especially with the deployant clasp. The AP one leaves a logo indentation on my inner wrist but I’m used to it now. I would laugh when some who did not know, said that the RO and the laureato are “similar”. They are soooo different from each other.

To your point, if they made the bezel thicker by coming in and making the dial smaller, I think it would have thrown the proportion ratios off. Perhaps by 1 mm would have been ok too 🤔

I spoke to Stefano Macaluso who is the designer of the 41 mm and he said the goal was to make the watch elegant. So the polished bezel already shows the distinction and they wanted to move away from the Evo 3 look of being more bulky.
