Pure Girard Perregaux DNA: Tourbillon Three Gold Bridges Ref 99193.
It is hardly disputable that Girard Perregaux is one of the Masters, in the high end Watch category.
For more than 20 years ( the first wristwatch Tourbillon with gold bridges came in 1991 ) now, the Tourbillon with Gold Bridges is an expression of GP skill, talent, and more than that, DNA.
Exquisite, the dial and the movement are intimately linked, to make one and only one, a Watch.
As for the three gold bridges, their extreme finish requires a lot of care and time. 7 days are needed to finish the 3 Gold Bridges, after multiple controls with a x 10 microscope and different operations.
An icon, in my opinion.
This ref 99193 is quite traditional, in this presentation, while some are more daring, such as the Laureato 3 spinel Bridges...
... Without forgetting the more modern Neotourbillon.
Traditional, but not outdated at all.
These double arrow shaped bridges are just a feast for the eye, with a huge sensuality.
The dimensions are still human, with a 41 mm case, 11, 00 mm high.
Enjoy these " upside down " pictures.
Upside:
Down....
Did you ever paid attention to the fact that you are in presence of an automatic movement, here? The microrotor, in platinum is superbly integrated on the dial, at 12 o clock. ( Cal 9600 C ).
Girard Perregaux proved that an automatic movement can be used in a prestigious Watch.
As for the back, I am less fan, I don't find it at the same level than the dial side, to be honest, but I can live with that, when I see such a beauty.
To me, it is clear, GP makes some of the most appealing Tourbillons of the modern production.
The only problem is to choose one. As there were so many tempting offers, since 1991!
Best,
Nicolas
