Recent GP find.. Appreciated encounter with a Crosshair
Friends, some few of my dear Purist-friends
know, that I have been looking for a Gyromatic,
Ref 6250 A ,with a special little feature - a Crosshair dial.
This, as Crosshair dials are a little theme in my
stables..
Well, it has taken close to three years until
a good friend ( you know who you are) had
sourced one and very kindly dropped me
a line, causing my happy excitement.
But not only that: he helped, as there was some wrong
dysfunctional movement in it, while case &
dial were superb.
This friend had the kindness to have an original
movement (31.09) from his Gyromatic stock to be
transplanted into, what then became mine.
I am very grateful to him & the happy
restauration of this Gyromatic to a great status
& being now a humble "member of the GP Crosshair
club", together with Nico, Blomman, CC
& maybe some others, I yet don't know of..
Well, guess after these a bit lengthy lines,
without further ado, here some initial
shots of this new arrival in my modest
GP family, which I dearly cherish.

Unobtrusive, pure with casual elegance

A quite modest but fine watch from the begin of 60ies

A little cherry on the cake: the Vintage GP buckle

What a nice & clean dial, but with Crosshair refinement

This Gyromatic breathes class, IMHO

This is even a pair of them ( Credit pic: CC; Credits watches: left by hs, right by CC himself)
Hope you liked this little Crosshair excursion..
Cheers & Best to all ,
hs.
