Sea hawk II: why so thick?
Hi all, I am a new comer. I am interested in buying a Sea Hawk II.
After an extensive research on the watch, I have the following
question. The caliber of Sea Hawk II is derived from GP3300, which is a
very slim one. However, Sea Hawk II is 13.5mm thick. In comparison,
Rolex Submariner with Date 16610 uses a substantially thicker movement
3135, but the thickness is only 12mm. So is there anything particular
for the construction of Sea Hawk II? Many thanks.

The dealer in Toronto

Hi Peter, Many thanks for your reply. I have already checked the only GP dealer in Toronto and it only carries one Sea Hawk model (a gold one). :S So I can't really do any comparison. From the GP website, I do see Sea Hawk models with a central second han...

G'day, yes, i´m sure the 49920 is discontinued; we´ve touched on this in several posts some months ago. And that´s one reason as to why there are so many units with deeply discounted prices in the grey market. The other models are higher/larger, not the l...

G'day, making cases is a pretty expensive thing to do; a manufacture-made case and particularly a bracelet can be as much as a movement on manufacturing level. That´s why almost all manufacturers use outsourced cases for entry-level models. For GP, manufa...
