Successful visit to my watchmaker this morning...
was able to pick up 3 watches from some minor work, among them the Deep Diver 7897 Black Dial, which needed some additional work on the bezel.
As the Bezel was already polished when I bough the watch, after getting it back to how it should look like, the brass was really showing, so now we added a rhodium-plating. Still not perfect, but at least the colour is now better. I guess my only further option for a perfect bezel is finding a replacement.
Also left a new acquisition with him for a needed quick cleaning and I'm hopeful to get that one back in a week's time, so will surely report back on that.

while it is pain to wait for a watch while in service, the pleasure is even bigger when you get it back.
Not with my watchmaker. but coming close on one watch, it's already 2 years
and not ready and just waiting for pick-up

well, I think just finding a bezel is a very remote chance, but perhaps finding a donor watch that has other problems but a good bezel may be possible. I have patience, if it takes months, great, if it takes years, also no big deal. CC
