This timepiece exists in two steel versions in 42mm (hand wound) with a slightly different bezel. Mine is the first edition released in 2010 at Baselworld (I’m not sure it’s still in the GO catalogue 🤔).

The very first two versions in WG and RG were released two years before the steel one but they were less appealing for me.

The idea of this watch is to show, on the dial side, the beautiful GO 66-06 caliber hence the name of the model “Inverse”. A kind of GO “Tradition” 😊

You can see the nicely engraved double swan neck which is particularly mesmerising. In addition, Glashütte ribbings are a feast for the eyes as they can be very dark or bright depending on the light. First time I see this timepiece in pictures, I immediately fell in love with it.

A variation of this timepiece has been released few years ago. It’s called PanoMaticInverse with an automatic movement and a date window instead of the power reserve indicator at 2 o’clock. I’m not fan of this one too.

I tried alpine skiing probably twice in my whole life as far as I remember (and last time was something like 30 years ago 😁)

I only do cross country skiing and did biathlon for many many years. But over the last two years, I only went skiing few times unfortunately. I have a true dilemma now as my son is pretty good as an alpine skier. Most probably, I will have to take lessons...
