ROASTED. You got me, and deservedly so.
My first "high end" watch was a Panerai in 2001. I collected the brand for years before exploring others. Most all of them had solid backs. When the 372 came out, I loved it, and immediately bought one from the boutique at full retail. For me, that one becomes perfect w/ the solid back. But I understand most owners always want to see the movement.
On this Glashutte, it is a must have

I owned the original version for many years. In fact, I had one of the first US deliveries in 2009.
I have always been a huge fan of the design. This new version happens to add some things the original version does not have, and I like them.

The date looks like it belongs.
Would it be awesome without? I'm sure it would. But it has never bothered me on this model. I consider it a modern chronometer, set in a precious metal case after all.
It was a victim of downsizing.
I mostly regretted it, but feel I have more than righted that now Wait until you see the LE live, I feel I know your tastes well enough that it would be your choice.

Talking about the minute hand, Mike. Curved, yes of course, mine too.
But twisted? No. Beautiful as they are though.
You certainly get a complete package watch w/ any Senator Chronometer.
You can feel the quality just holding one. It's a delight to wear.
