The PanoInverse is one of very few watches . . .
. . . that melds aesthetic and horological art in equal measures. Most Glashüttes are thoroughly conservative and functional, while this one is - at least outwardly - more flamboyant. It doesn't take long, though, for the technical beauty of the design to take hold on the imagination.
If I may borrow an analogy from a separate field, there are essentially two spatial effects of sound reproduction equipment. The more common effect takes you there . . . the prevailing perception is one of transporting the listener to the performance. The other, and far less common, effect brings them here - the music and musicians are present while you're listening.
The PanoInverse, compared to others, is like the latter . . . it brings the beauty and intrigue of watchmaking to you, rather than the other way around. It is truly a very personal watch.
Thanks so much for all the time and effort in sharing your thoughts with us, Richard. Masthead honors, naturally.
