Complex and expensive
MTR ... that was what I heard when I enquired at HMC a few years ago. It was a complex mechanism and very expensive to make and service. I got mine new in WG about 3 years ago and it's been functioning beautifully... will have it serviced ($$$$) when it needs to be.

Horology industry and, more specifically, high end brands which belong to listed companies are at a turning point today (not a fatal one but an important one nevertheless).
Customers are, may be, still able to pay "crazy" prices but they want respect and a high end service too. Hope brands will understand that very soon but I think it\'s the case (at least I hope so). I gave my Emil Lange for a full service two days ago. I\'...
