Getting the (Melbourne) (Watch)band back together
Last night saw the first catch up of the Melbourne Watchband for 2012.
When we arrived at our usual bar booth we were greeted by the sight of
the manager unboxing some suitable lighting for us; two lovely bankers
lamps, a really generous gesture considering we only show up once a
month.
Hopefully this means that AndrewD grumbling about poor lighting
should be a thing of the past.
While is was a comparatively small gathering - which allowed for more
conversation (even about non-horological topics - gasp!) We still
managed to have one interstate guest - a Sydney Tart who was luckily
in town.
The watches were the usual eclectic mix, and it was good to see that
several of the watchbanders (?) hadn't wasted the summer break, and
were flaunting new watches.
And it should be mentioned that the highlight of the evening was
Grumio perfuming some photographic magic, with only a point and shoot
and some office supplies….

Where there's a will there's a way! Great photos, Grumio. Thanks for sharing them with us. Sorry I wasn't a thousand Km closer, but I did think of you guys. Great to see that Tom's 'project watch' has progressed signiciantly over the summer hiatus. Look f...
