Great Advice!
Great advice all! Much appreciated!
The first watch I can remember wearing was when I was about 15 or 16. It was a gift from my father when I moved in with him. It was a Ralph Lauren watch with a deep navy blue dial, gold markers and hands, the obligatory polo rider and horse. But what really caught my attention with this watch was that it was the first wrist watch I had seen with a moonphase. It was fascinating. Unfortunately my last year of highschool the crystal cracked when I bumped into a porcelain urinal...damn the bad luck. Pretty sure my father still has the watch as it did mean a lot to me. He made sure to have the watch fitten with a leather band with a buckle. My brother got a similar watch with a bracelet with a speed style clasp. He said the biggest reason for giving me the leather band and buckle was to make sure I remembered to take my time and have patience in life. Simple way of showing a life long lesson. Perhaps I shouldnt have moved as hastily the day I left the restroom. Damn urinal!
If I cant find something on the cheap with a moonphase, I have fallen in love with the simplicity and elegant stylings of the most infamous JLC Polaris.
We shall see.

If you want to stay around $3000 than the Omega speedmaster would be an excellent choice. If you can go a bit higher you should consider a JLC or a GO, maybe a senator sixties. On the other hand you could go to the second hand market and you will have a m...
