1276 is...
Hi Darren,
1276 is a beauty - and would well deserve a extensive photo shooting and post!
Congrats! It's an absolute drem piece for anybody interested in the history of horology.
Not made during the best times of Breguet - but with this movement and humble case/dial - it's perfectly in line with Breguet tradition.
The sales date is quite funny - and wouldn't be surprised to learn that it was somehow "on purpose" , just to get some better numbers at the end of the year...
I gues it's been not the best times economically for Breguet during that period.
As aready suggested - crown mst likely isn't corect, as IMHO the seconds hand.
Together with a new more appropriate crystel and a good cleaning/oiling would be all I'd do ....
A real Beauty!
Best regards
Suitbert

Was not expecting to ever see one of these on my wrist, but every now and then....... My first vintage Breguet. Love the dial, but like what's inside at least as much (and probably more): An e-mail from Breguet calls this one simply the "1276". Apparently...
Thanks Tony....

You're likely correct about the crown, but to be honest, I'm not sure I'll be able to find a scan of one of these with the original crown. I may reach out to Breguet again, but I think I now have all of the information they have on this timepiece. Darren

I does indeed feel like a bit of history on the wrist (and it's plain cool to look at!) And I would agree that this one was created during somewhat darker days in the lifespan of Breguet. Somewhat of a light amongst a fair bit of darkness. I've learned qu...
