What a beautiful example of a rare Breitling. In really amazing shape.
To my knowledge this is quite unique as a vintage Breitling, as it is one of only two watches that
Breitling produced exclusively for military contract.
So now the question is do you want to complete this small theme with the other one?
Produced for the Italian military in the 1970's and also using the Valjoux 236.

Sunday Picture: A mysterious and intriguing watch.
Let's see if you guess it right... Some hints: It is a Pilot Chronograph, It is a Military one. It comes from a well known brand. It was released in the second half of the 60ies. Any idea, anyone? Best, Nicolas....

Is this an all original??
I picked up an identical Breitling but in really bad shape which had to be refinished (polished and re-dialed). The hands were re-finished but are not like those on your example - are your hands and dial original? these really are beautiful chronos...

Congrats Nicolas - is yours an air force issue? I have seen a couple (omegas, rodanias and breitlings) with military issue engravings on the case backs, I had read that the RAF and Canadian Airforce issued these unbranded watches but with stamped movement...
