The Blancpains are definitely worth a look -- solid automatic movements and lovely to look at, too. My wife loves hers.
If you're willing to go quartz (I know, I know) the Parmigiani Piccola and Donna lines are fantastic looking, too. Sadly, they went through a major re-launch of the ladies' line a year or so ago, so the prior-model Piccola with the great PF-finished FP movement (same as in the Ladybird, IIRC, with a platinum rotor!) is no longer made -- and isn't in the price range you mentioned, either.
As long as I'm at it, some of the Ulysse ladies' watches are quite nice. The Dual Time line is in your price range, as is the Michelangelo Lady (with the funky "accumulator" movement that gives a 60-day power reserve). The Lady San Marco is more than you want to pay, but pretty cool looking.
Last thing -- I wear a JLC Ultra Thin myself, and think it's fantastic. Not an automatic, but a beautiful and well-regarded piece -- and can even be had with a fine line of diamonds around the bezel in its ladies' incarnation.
Have fun!
Best,
