Set the time one direction. I am afraid to damage the movement when setting a watch to turn anti clockwise when the hands go anti clockwise.
I operate the union crown anti clockwise when setting time on my Longines, then the hands go clockwise.
Also when i adjust the date, i do it at 12 afternoon.
