I don't really know much about the Spatiographs, but the chrono-matic is more my speed.
In terms of the bezel, I have never seen a catalogue picture or advert that shows this bezel, so like you, I would say it is
probably not correct on the watch. If your friend can find some examples of this bezel on any Breitling watch then it
would be more possible.
However it may still be possible to pick up a bezel for this watch, they do appear on ebay and there's one supplier who has
a lot of parts. If you email me, I'll pass on an email and he can ask if there's one going.
