Believe it or not, I was just trying to explain this to a friend . . .

 

. . . over the phone yesterday!  He entrusted servicing of his vintage Turn-o-Graph to my watchmaker, and I was trying to explain the difference in regulating methods between his 1575 and modern Rolex movements.
