With Apple's massive purchasing power, access to state of the art CNCs, and boatloads of engineers, it wouldn't surprise me if this ~500 dollar steel band is actually better than a lot of the higher end Swiss ones. Based on the pictures, it looks extremel...

The deployant seems to be ergonomic as all apple stuff. i'm not interested in this kind of device but i hope many maisons look at this "watch" and ask their designer to do a better job.

It looks like the Apple links are like IWC links where there are no pins/screws but removed by push button on the inside of the link.
