Ever hear the saying, "trying to herd cats?" (grab shot)

 

Hi, CL,

This is not directly in relation to your question, but hopefully can stimulate some further discussion and consideration to help you decide.

By the way, herding cats and trying to shoot several watches at the same time, and having them show hand positions that are not unattractive, are not too dissimilar...

ps: not exactly your question, but why are any of these pieces here in the picture?

Because I liked how they look! Some of them also have special movements, special finishing, especially clean dial details, are time machines/museum pieces condition wise (more than a couple of them are over 40 years old); look so simple but are oh, so complicated, etc etc etc.

But in the end, all the previous are just "...fitting a justification around something" that I found compelling for their simple, elegant beauty.

It's very light, thin & manual wind with 40mm diameter.

CL, can't you bend the rules just a little? The Lange 1815 in Pt/silver would be a great addition to that set, but it runs (I think) at 21,600bph. (If memory serves, you may have a couple of 1815's already). A while ago Suitbert posted an article on some ...

Unfortunately there are only 50 ever made. I have not had the opportunity to photograph it buts quite a beauty. Let me know when you find one. I would LOVE to photograph that - as well as your rare WG Dato. Cheers Harry
