Thanks for this post Andrew. I'm quite interested in Bremont watches from the time I saw it on Bear Grylls wrist. How come you can only buy it in GB and I believe there is a selling point in Switzerland? You can buy these watches directly from Bremont but I would like to see them in the flesh and on the wrist first.
I am considering a Rolex Explorer I to be my next watch. Thing is I am looking for this weekend and everyday watch. Sturdy, not flashy, not to big, waterproof, shockproof and the lot. Of course Rolex is the brand to beat in this league, but for what I am reading Bremont does a fine job too. Bit worried though because it is a very young brand and there is hardly any experience with durability, service etcetera. Or is there?
Do you know the retail price of the Martin Baker watch? If it is allowed on this forum and otherwise a PM please.

I like the look of the EP120 very much, and from pictures it appears fairly nicely made. I find the retail price (GBP6000 or so) high for such a watch though, but perhaps seeing it in person will change my mind. - SJX

Hello Andrew, Thanks for the pics and review! Curious if there are any problems with the EP120's knurled pushers protruding too much into the wrist? Is the red checkering hand cut or machined on the Martin Baker? -MW
Good questions! I do not know for sure, but I think that
they are machined on the MB watch. And as for the pushers, on the watch I was wearing (for a short while admittedly) I had no problem. Cheers Andrew H

Pilot statue?
Off topic somewhat... but is that one of the cigarette lighter airman statues the watch is posed on? They're kinda rare. nick
I found it lying around an office area! So used it as a prop!
It was a vintage statue of the airman, but not sure if it had previously been used to hold cigarettes. Thanks for reading. Andrew H

Dr No - greetings! This is what I have been told although it
makes no sense to me! The part of the watch to be treated (hardened) is heated to high temperatures and diffused with carbon and then bombarded with metallic electrons during another treatment. Apparently makes it very scratch resistant. Cheers Andrew H

Though the Bremont mentioned the MB1 & 2 passed the 12-30G, does the watch still running at the -4 to +6 sec per day? The AR coatings are on both sides of the sapphire. So is it 9 layers per side or both sides? Could Bremont elaborate what is hardened AR ...
