Hello friends! The things I endure to get a good cigar shot 😂

So I got the green light from my amazing light to blow my 10k budget and get myself a Rolex…so I have my 3861 Speedmaster and need a dive watch to complement it…so I’m torn between a vintage 1680 or 5513 or a new 41mm.

I have had plenty of vintage come and go over time…and had the 114060 and 11610 which were good but I’m curious what everyone thinks of the 41mm…I can keep my CWC as my beater so I’m looking for opinions. I have the CWC in this pic…the 40mm CWC manual chrono and 2 vintage seiko speed timers (blue and red and black and red bezels)…so what would be a good addition? Do I go vintage sub or new?

Yes go for the 41 mm Sub with the green bezel. It’s a great looking watch.

Go for new. You know for sure the WR and wears better imo. Even so, my fav is the 1675, if down to one choice, it'd be it. . Cheers S

Vintage? what do you call vintage? 16610? In this case it is neo vintage and a good one, without too many headache.

Full disclosure, my wife for years has said the 42mm explorer 2 is the one for me, but, I really would much prefer a colored bezel!

I may lean towards something newer, next stop can be vintage, I think…the 1675s in good shape are pretty pricey…I do love the hunt…

Yes, but you also have the 16750, 16760, 16710. A bit less pricey, but it all depends on the condition. The GMT MASTER is worth a serious consideration.

If I lived in a country where there is a multitude of quality watch makers I would strongly favor vintage. Here in the USA I don't feel we have met that bar yet
