Hi!
The people from Linde Werdelin kindly sent me the replies to your questions (answers quoted in red letters):
I wonder what that screen looks like underwater. Since it appears to be permanently lit ( backlight function exists and can be easily set up as diver wishes – backlight uses a bit of battery power so it is advised not to have the screen permanently lit ), it appears pretty good, especially the warning colours . The display is a transflective LCD color operating 260.000 colours . Also, it has the color automatic display light adjustment so it ensures perfect visibility.
Also, anyone know what algorithm it uses? We use the latest Buhlmann Algorithm, V16
That said, I'm happy with my Vyper and wouldn't be interested in the the extra-task loading of a different computer, regardless of brand and functions.
I'd also like to see it with bungy straps so you have the option of wearing it in addition to the watch it hooks onto... The Reef could also be attached on a Velcro strap which is included when a customer buys one of the instruments (instruments can also sold separately)
The Reef is based on O2 at the moment, Nitrox gas will be incorporated on the second version which will be launched next year.
Hope this helps!
