Horological Meandering

I don’t know Larry.

It almost feels like they are trying too hard here.

Alain Silberstein never felt like he was trying too hard.

Even Rolex and their Celebration Dial didn’t feel like a stretch.

Now, perhaps Richard Mille’s candy themed watches from several years ago felt like a bit of push also.  So Norqain is not alone in trying too hard.

As an aside, I’ve looked at their watches on and off for several years.  First time around I believe it was one of the family members (owners) that showed me the collection.  More recently I visited a Boutique and looked at all the watches again.

For me, the model that appeals most is the Wild One.

Even with some discount however it is still a bit of a stretch for a fun weekend beater.

These are pictures of the larger 42mm version.  A bit too much for my wrist; it’s a Big Bang or AP Offshore vibe at this size.  The new 39mm version I’ve not tried yet but will be in a city with a Boutique in a few weeks and will try it then.
