I happen to have both.
The Lange in white gold and the JLC also in white gold - boutique edition. 
If I could only have one it would be the Lange. It’s far more legible - although the grey dial JLC is probably the least legible of all the variations. The finishing on the Lange movement is superior to the JLC as you can see from the photos. Also, the large date is a real winner. The blank disc for 1-9 doesn’t bother me (I have 2 other Langes with large date). Having to adjust once a year is not an issue for me. 
I believe that the two you are comparing however are the platinum Lange and the stainless JLC so the cost differential, new, would be almost 3 to 1. In white gold there’s less of a difference.
Both are very nice but I would lean towards the annual Lange

I would choose left just because I think it’s a more appeasing watch visually…
Even though the jlc is a perpetual calendar. So I’ll have to adjust it once on February, it’s not a deal breaker, I think it would look better on my wrist than the jlc. I can even visualize trying it with different colored straps, not with the jlc though,...

Left. The Lange is just a much finer watch overall.
With the Lange, you do not have the complexity of a perpetual calendar but I will generally take a finer overall piece that's somewhat less complex than a lesser piece that is more complex.
