Horological Meandering

I just observed some ADs...

... and their communication policy on limited editions. And it was not necessarily pretty.

To better understand the situation with respect to the limited timepieces like the Tribute to MilSpec:

Each country organization of the manufacturer gets a definitive number of watches allocated. Those are split among ADs and potentially one or multiple brand boutiques.

This way 500 pieces run out rather quickly if you consider the high number of countries that receive allocations.

A watch like the Tribute to MilSpec was most likely oversigned by a large degree. ADs may have placed orders, but those may not have been confirmed.

The fact that you ordered the watch on bracelet may have played a role here.

But again, this is just a possible explanation. Gladly you can now enjoy the beautiful Royal Oak 😉

Best,
Henrik
